Privacy Policy

ED Assist AI is a clinical decision-support tool for licensed healthcare professionals working in emergency and urgent care. This page describes the information the service handles.

Information we handle

• Account and authentication. Account creation and login are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider.
• Billing and subscription. Checkout and payment are handled by Paddle, our payment processor. We do not collect or store your card details ourselves. We store a limited record linking your account to your Paddle customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription status, so we can manage access to the service.
• Clinical case information you enter. The case details you enter (e.g. presenting complaint, vitals, history, medications, exam findings) are used to generate the on-screen output.
• Note-polishing (optional feature). If you use the note-polishing feature, the note text you submit is sent to OpenAI's API to be rewritten.

Patient-identifiable information

No patient-identifiable information should be entered into ED Assist AI unless the service has been explicitly configured and authorized for that use.

Infrastructure

ED Assist AI is built on Clerk (authentication), Paddle (payment processing), and Neon (database hosting), and uses OpenAI for the optional note-polishing feature.
